USDT POS and Virtual POS: How Does Collection Work?
CryptoAvans · · 3 min read
The phrase “USDT POS” or “virtual POS with USDT payments” does not, on its own, say which asset the customer pays with. In the Cryptoavans model the customer pays with a card; the business can withdraw the collection balance that meets the conditions as USDT. Accepting USDT directly from the customer on the blockchain is a different payment model.
Card payment and USDT withdrawal are two separate stages
First, the card transaction is concluded at the payment provider. A successful collection is tracked through the transaction record and the related wallet movements. After the commission, the value date and any blocked amount, a withdrawable amount arises. The business’s USDT withdrawal is based on this balance.
When you reconcile, keep the gross collection, the commission deducted, the net balance and the withdrawable balance in separate columns. Marking a successful card payment and a completed USDT transfer as the same status creates confusion in order tracking.
Payment link or API integration?
A payment link suits sales where you need to send the customer a payment address. You manage the transaction from the panel and direct the customer to the existing payment screen. You do not need to build a payment-creation integration on your own site.
With API collection, your own software creates the payment request, redirects the customer to the returned payment address and processes the result through notifications. Businesses that want to match order numbers with payment records automatically can look at this flow. The rate and value date terms of the two services may differ.
The payment result must be verified on the server side
A store using the API should not complete an order based only on the successful result page the customer sees in the browser. It should apply the signed notification verification and the payment status query described in the integration documentation. Repeated requests and notifications must not process the same order a second time.
Do not put the API secret key in browser code, a public repository or a URL query. Keep access credentials on the server. When you review notification records, use transaction identifiers that contain no card data or secret keys.
Assess the value date, disputes and withdrawal terms together
The value date is the waiting period for a collection to become available under the set conditions. Factors such as the rate applied to the account, the card brand, the transaction status and any blocked amount can change the withdrawable amount. Check the current amount in the relevant link or API wallet in the panel.
The risk of disputes and reversals does not disappear with card collection. Being able to withdraw in USDT does not mean the card transaction is closed to disputes. The business should keep its sales and delivery records in order within its own process. Do not choose a service based only on the commission percentage; also consider reconciliation, integration and operational needs.
